Rhennir tiwbiau sgwâr a hirsgwar yn ôl y broses gynhyrchu: tiwbiau sgwâr di-dor wedi'u rholio'n boeth, tiwbiau sgwâr di-dor wedi'u tynnu'n oer, tiwbiau sgwâr di-dor allwthiol, a thiwbiau sgwâr wedi'u weldio. Yn eu plith, rhennir pibellau sgwâr weldio yn: (a) Yn ôl technoleg prosesu - weldio arc pibellau sgwâr, ymwrthedd weldio pibellau sgwâr (amledd uchel, amledd uchel), pibellau sgwâr torri nwy, pibellau sgwâr wedi'i weldio â ffwrnais (b) Yn ôl weldio - -Pipen sgwâr wedi'i weldio â sêm syth, pibell sgwâr wedi'i weldio troellog.

Rhennir tiwbiau sgwâr yn ddeunyddiau: tiwbiau sgwâr dur carbon plaen a thiwbiau sgwâr dur strwythurol aloi. Rhennir dur carbon cyffredin yn: Q195, Q215, Q235, SS400, 20# dur, 45# dur, ac ati; mae dur aloi uchel wedi'i rannu'n Q345, 16Mn, Q390, ST52-3, ac ati.

Mae tiwbiau sgwâr yn cael eu dosbarthu yn ôl eu siapiau trawstoriad: (1) Tiwbiau sgwâr trawstoriad syml - tiwbiau sgwâr sgwâr, tiwbiau sgwâr ffrâm hirsgwar (2) Tiwbiau sgwâr trawstoriad cymhleth - tiwbiau sgwâr siâp blodau, sgwâr ceg agored tiwbiau, tiwbiau sgwâr rhychiog, tiwbiau sgwâr siâp arbennig Tiwb sgwâr.
